AN ACCOUNT OF JOURNEY CALLED LIFE

अगस्त माह के अंत में किसी सरकारी कार्य हेतु आगरा जाने का अवसर प्राप्त हुआ । सोमवार को कोई मीटिंग होनी थी तो सोचा कि रविवार को दिन में ही सफर किया जाय । इससे पहले आगरा 1992 में जाना हुआ था हरिद्वार से । उस समय बस से सफर किया था । इस बार सोचा कि किसी ट्रैन से जाय जाय । वैसे तो वर्तमान में बहुत सारे और भी ऑप्शन आ गए हैं आराम से सफर करने के, जैसे कि ऐसी वाली वॉल्वो बस, ऐसी वाली ट्रेन भी और साधारण बस भी । पर बचपन से ही ट्रेन से सफर करना अच्छा लगता रहा है, तो ट्रैन के ही सफर  पर विचार किया गया । मित्रों ने सलाह दी कि आरक्षण करा लेना ठीक रहेगा परंतु इतने कम समय में वह भी मिलना मुश्किल ही था । सोचा कि चलो काफी समय के बाद जनरल डिब्बे में ही सफर किया जाय । सामान तो कुछ ज्यादा था भी नहीं । खैर ट्रैन काsamay wagaira पता किया, कलिंग उत्कल नामक ट्रैन सुबह 6,45 पर रुड़की से चल कर आगरा 3,30 बजे पहुँच जाती है । इसी गाडी से चलने का प्लान बनाया गया । सुबह ठीक 6,30 स्टेशन आ गया, टिकेट खिड़की पर थोड़ी भीड़ थी मैंने सोच कर कि बस में काम से कम 300 या 400 के बीच किराया लगता है तो पांच सौ का नोट टिकेट के लिए...

This sunday I decided to stay back to enjoy a quiet sunday and the fine weather of Chakrata...My day was started late got up at 8.30 prepared a cup of tea for myself for a change as for past few months I was having only coffee....After taking a cold water bath came out of my room for a breakfast....But the market was closed today and I was informed that there is  a Bhandara in nearby temple so market would be closed for the day...and I may too go to Bhandara...But thought otherwise as most of such occassions I found already well fed ppl feed each other and then leave the place dirty with thermocol plates and cups all around.I dropped the idea and still decided to look for any open shop and there was one I found open at the end of the market. I helped myself with 02 Aloo Parathas with Chole and not quite good Curd. It was now the turn to look for tea. At this place I tried several shops for tea but all are trained to prepare the tea with liberal quantity of sugar.....I then tried so...

It was the month of Aug 2014 when the result of PCS (State Civil Services) 2010 was announced and I was selected for the post of Deputy Education Officer. After a long wait the training was started in the month of Jan 15 and finally after two months of training we all were posted to different blocks in the state of Uttarakhand. I was posted to Chakrata. I heard this name before and in fact read it several times which being in Dehradun as there is a famous road known as Chakrata Road. It was on 01 April 2015 we started our journey for chakrata. We hired a taxi from Roorkee. I was confident that the driver must have been to  this lesser known place but to my surprise it was his first visit too. We reached Kalsi and then the after the military gates of Kalsi which they named Kalsi Gate, the road to hill was started. Soon after crossing the gates the front tyre of the taxi burst. Thankfully driver had the spare tyre and he took hos own sweet time to change it. It was a new road for me...
